Thoth v Cerberus

After the debacle at flickr I've been busy setting up an alternative at ipernity. Then a spell at the hugely entertaining Encyclopaedic Palace and the Art Olympics has delayed posting here. Anyhow, here's today's painting.

The Waukrife of Wu

I have designed these ceremonial robes for The Waukrife of Wu in return for the exceptional work performed in salvaging the ancient traces of U'ut washed up on the shores of Dun-Holm.

Vole Art Sweet

I've started a new project similar to the Maps from Memory series. The idea is to draw or paint my favourite works of art entirely from memory....no peeking allowed. This is my recollection of an etching from Picasso's Vollard Suite.

Hairy wild men

You could spend a lifetime exploring the Victoria & Albert Museum. After visiting the Shadow Catchers: Camera-Less Photography exhibition I trickled through the splendid Medieval Galleries and Cast Courts where I sketched these curiosities: a stone head with three faces, a small wooden figure of a hairy "wild man" from Switzerland, a painting of a similar "wild woman" with only her pink breasts poking out of the fur, and a superb carving of a man wearing a bonkers hat on the doors of Aix-en-Provence cathedral.
