Cover of Uut

A sketch for the lid of the container for the Cards of Uut. The first edition is currently being printed and should be ready next week. I'm experimenting with a few different types of container for the deck of cards, but a tin box seems most likely.

The Art Repair Man

I went to the Pistoletto show at the Serpentine Gallery but found it rather disappointing and banal. In an attempt to take something positive from the show, I took a photo on my iPhone of my head reflected in one of the mirrors and processed it heavily to make this picture.

Alien Craft spotter cards

We have obtained a confidential document leaked from the Ministry of Planetary Security: the object of this publication is to provide a simple reference to facilitate the recognition of the different types of alien craft. Here are 2 samples from the boxed set of 143 cards depicting the silhouettes of alien spacecraft originally prepared by the UK Air Ministry, London and issued to Roof Watchers in our major cities.
I believe some of these craft may originate in The Outer Dust Rings.

The IMmobile

My latest sculpture is named The Immobile. It's an anti-mobile i.e., it is the antithesis of a Calderesque sculpture. It has no moving parts and can be floor or ceiling mounted.
The title also refers to Kurt Vonnegut's TM mantra "Im".
VONNEGUT: "I tried that [Transcendental Meditation]. It gave me a terrible headache."
The concrete chunks used as counterweights have an unintended resemblance to meteoroids in orbit, which I suppose contradicts the purpose of the piece. "So it goes....."
