I had other plans for this evening, but for no particular reason I started leafing through a book on
American Folk Portraits. My mind being occupied elsewhere (I was also listening to a fascinating lecture by
Sam Harris on fora.tv), my hands got busy copying a portrait of
Miss Rebecca Freese of Cairo Forge, New York. The original is by an unknown artist circa 1835.
