Take some paint cans and chuck them at the sign and just splatter colors everywhere
Nice idea. I still like the the one I see fairly often here in California. The sign of a deer silhouette to warn motorists of deer, often will have a round red sticker placed on the deer's nose.
Bring a ladder?

I wish someone would improve this road sign as shown in red. I'm not tall enough to reach.
