The Persian Hat

This rhyme (of sorts) just appeared in my mind, and a few days later someone sent me a fez. I'd wanted one ever since reading A Fez of the Heart: Travels round Turkey in Search of a Hat by Jeremy Seal.

I really really like this one. Although I rarely wear a hat, I tend to collect them. My grandfather was a Shriner and I have two of his fez (what is the plural of fez?). Both of them are empty and I don't know if they ever contained any of these items.

Okay, I bow to the Klibanesqueness of you. I give you proper credit for being original and wonderful, but you remind me so much of Kliban that you make me say YES!....that's how it's done. This is a flipping wonderful piece.

And which children's book publisher will encourage you to make this into a whole picture book? Die cut, perhaps? Terrific.
